On Saturday, July 19, 2008 a group of Ken's friends & family gathered at Cuesta Park In Mountain View and released  31 gold balloons in honor of Ken's 31st birthday.  Red balloons with stars were provided to the other Gold Star families in attendance so they could send wishes to their loved ones.

Thanks to Nadia, Dolores, Mary (Gold Star Moms), Ken's favorite Aunts Cathy & Michel, favorite cousin, Elizabeth and Ken's grandparents for being there. 

We are trying to figure out how the 1st 31 gold balloons took off without any help at all.  We wonder if Ken was just fooling around (again!).  A quick trip to the store made everything whole and the balloon release went off without a hitch!
