Lt Ken Ballard, my hero!

Life in Iraq

5.11.03- 5.30.04

Lt Ken Ballard was stationed in Iraq with Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 37th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Division from Friedburg, Germany.  The battalion left for the Middle East on May 11, 2003, landed in Kuwait and shortly thereafter left for Baghdad.  The were located in Sadr City on 10.09.03 and stayed there until mid April 2004.  After the battles of April 4-6, 2004 the battalion was moved south- some units to AL Kut, some to An Najaf & Kufa.

Thanks to PFC Stanley Gonzales, the driver on Ken's tank, C-21, for sending me so many photographs. 

Digital photography is so great that I can tell the dates the photos were taken.
